This time next month I will be moving to Hong Kong. Its a funny thing moving on – I/we’ve done it so many times that to call myself a British national is becoming something of an anomaly – it would be more correct to call myself an international citizen after spending the majority of my life in countries around the world.
I always wanted to visit Hong Kong before the handover to China in 1997. Probably the cause of this was the excellent series of books by James Clavell, and in particular Tai Pan). I loved that book!
For various reasons a visit never happened and now suddenly we are looking at a long period of living in HK. Life is strange but rewarding – we hope to make the most of a new life in Asia.
